Following the Tribe's engagement tradition, Pakku carve betrothal necklace for her. Kanna was born in 19 AG to a family in the Northern Water Tribe, and when she reached marrying age of sixteen, it was arranged that she would marry Pakku, young waterbender. Finally, the Fire Nation dynasty is on the side of world peace and unity, not conquest. He continues along this path, thoroughly impressed by the new Team Avatar and swear ally. During the Equalist revolution, younger Iroh helped lead the relief Force to Republic City from Amon, and he fearlessly helped take out Equalist planes. Izumi has a son of her own name Iroh, talented Firebender and General of the United Forces fleet. By events of the Legend of Korra, Izumi appears to be in her early 50s, and as Fire Lord, she is champion of peace and diplomacy, far cry from her Aunt Azula or her grandfather Ozai.
He passed this noble idea down to his daughter, Izumi, who was born as Fire Nation's princess and later assumed the title of Fire Lord from her aging father. By the end of the credit roll, Zuko is the new Fire Lord, swear ally of Aang's and champion of world peace. Instead, he resolved to help make the world right by aiding Avatar, teaching Aang enough Firebending to stand chance against Fire Lord Ozai. Zuko realized that his family, from his tyrannical father to his cruel sister, weren't even worth trying to impress. Where Zuko was once fighting Avatar, his quest for redemption saw him helping Aang instead. As his Uncle Iroh taught him, opposite of pride is not shame, but humility, and Zuko becomes humble enough to realize that his title of prince didn't come with glory or honor-he had to earn it for himself.
Over the course of the story, though, his personal arc shifts him away from this quest and places him on a path of redemption and self-acceptance.
Zuko first appears as an angry youth with everything to prove, aiming to capture Avatar Aang to impress his father and restore his honor.
